Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the durability of a cylinder having wire rod spirally wound on inner and outer layers.
CONSTITUTION: A multilayer structure cylinder comprises inner and outer layers spirally wound with wire rods 11, 14, wherein the ratio (Pi/Di) of the spiral pitch Pi to the winding diameter Di of the material 11 of the inner layer is set larger than the ratio (Po/Do) of the pitch Po to the spirally winding diameter Do of the material 14 at the outer layer. The swelling of the inner layer upon bending is reduced as compared with the outer layer, thereby suppressing the compressive stress between the inner and outer layers and improving the durability.
