To provide a multimedia information service method using a code image, and to provide an apparatus therefor.

After setting a network address concerned with multimedia information and setting an identification code concerned with the use of multimedia information, code information including the network address and the identification code is converted into a physically or electrically expressed code image and the code image is distributed. A user inputs the code image to a computer, extracts the network address and the identification code included in the code information from the code image and checks the probability of using the multimedia information so as to receive the multimedia information concerned with the network address. Thus multimedia service can be provided by physically expressing information for providing the multimedia service through the network as an encoded image and allowing the user to click the image once, scan the image once on an image input device or photograph and decode the image to connect the image to the network address.
