Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to internationally transmit multimedia messages.
SOLUTION: An MMSC 11 decides international transmission from a destination MSISDN of a header of a multimedia message, and decides whether a transfer destination supports transition to the same number or not by referring to an MSISDN routing table 13. When found that it supports the transition to the same number, the MMSC 11 inquires an HLR 15 and acquires an IMSI corresponding to the destination MSISDN. Then the MMSC 11 refers to an IMSI routing table 16 from the acquired IMSI, acquires the MMSE domain name of the transfer destination and transfers the multimedia message to the MMSE. When the same number transition is not supported, the MMSC 11 transfers the multimedia message to the MMSE of the domain name acquired by referring to the MSISDN routing table 13.
