Abstract:
PURPOSE:To omit look-up tables corresponding to respective entry addresses and to simplify hardware by providing a selector for selecting a clock signal and outputting a color signal through a look-up table LUT based on the selected signal. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 1 writes color data corresponding to respective entry addresses through a data bus 10 and outputs the addresses corresponding to respective picture elements to a discriminator 3 and the LUT 4 through the bus 10. The discriminator 3 decodes the inputted address and outputs one corresponding select signal out of select signals 12a...12p and the selector 5 selects one of printer clock signals 11a...11p outputted from a clock signal generator 2 correspondingly to the address based on the select signal outputted from the discriminator 3 and outputs the selected clock signal to the LUT 4. The LUT 4 outputs color data corresponding to the color table based on the address inputted through the bus 10 and the clock signal selected by the selector 5.
