PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply an applicator to the surfaces of different shapes by providing a grip means capable of deforming an applied surface on its plane in response to pressure and changing a planar configuration parallel to the plane of the applied surface to a second configuration from a first configuration in an applicator.
SOLUTION: A user holds an applicator 1 between the thumb and the forefinger to apply a force so as to bring the ends 18 and 19 of grip edges 12 and 13 into contact to each other. Conversely, the end 20 of the grip edges 12 and 13 move to be separated from each other. At this time, a connecting member 14 is bent to meet the movement. An applicator member 4 in which the edge 6 of the connecting member 14 is partly buried is similarly deformed. An applied surface 3 is bent similarly to the connecting member 14. As a result, the planar configuration of the applied surface 3 is asymmetrical. Thus, the edge 6 linear at its stop position is curved. An edge 7 is deformed as described above. The curvature of the edge 7 forms a radius of curvature larger than the curvature of the edge 6.
