PURPOSE: To easily prepare an electrostatic latent image master in order to enhance speed of multiple sheet copying, and to save power consumption, by using a photoreceptor having a photosensitive layer provided alternately with dielectrics and photoconductors.

CONSTITUTION: Photoconductive semiconductors 3 and dielectrics 4 are arranged alternately at minute intervals on conductive substrate 2 to form photoreceptor 1. This photoreceptor 1 is simultaneously charged and imagewise exposed, and then uniformly exposed to form an electrostatic latent image, thus permitting copies to be obtained by repeating only development and transfer.
