Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the easy cleaning work, etc., of a doctor blade in a down stream side of a roll rotating direction in a multiple stage doctor device.
SOLUTION: This two-stage doctor device is provided by installing a doctor pack 27 as rotatable over a large angle range around a journal shaft center 28a by means of a hydraulic or an air cylinder 30 having a long stroke, and setting the position of a blade tip so as not to interfere the blade tip of the second doctor blade 23 with a roll surface 4a in rotating over the large angle range. Thus, in works for cleaning the second doctor blade 23 or dissolving paper clogging between the blades 22 and 23, since the gap between the doctor blade 22 and the roll surface 4a can be widened, it becomes possible to perform such works easily and in a good efficiency.
