PURPOSE: To secure a prescribed transmission characteristic by giving an excellent bias condition to the multiplex transmission system regardless of the presence of a bias circuit of an option node not connecting to a bus or connecting to the bus.

CONSTITUTION: In the multiplex transmitter in the multiplex transmission system in which plural nodes 10, 30, 40 having bias circuits 13, 33, 43 are connected to a common bus 20 to send a signal among the nodes, a bias circuit 14 to make a bias resistance constant of the bus 20 is provided to the specific node via a switch circuit 15 and the switch circuit 15 is subject to switching control in response to the presence of other nodes to connect the bias circuit 14 to the bus 20.
