Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-point ignition engine which preferably combusts the whole of gaseous mixture in a combustion chamber while improving fuel consumption or else by using stratified charge combustion technique and, thereby, can appropriately improve combustion stability and thermal efficiency.SOLUTION: A plurality of ignition parts 15 which ignite gaseous mixture of a combustion chamber 7 surrounded by an inner surface of a cylinder 3 and a top part of a piston 4 are dispersedly arranged along the circumferential direction of a combustion chamber 7, gaseous mixture producing means K which produces gaseous mixture of the combustion chamber 7 is configured such that the gaseous mixture is produced in such a state that there is a difference in fuel concentration as a mixing proportion of fuel to combustion air in the circumferential direction of the combustion chamber 7, and ignition control means Hb which controls actuation of the plurality of ignition parts 15 controls the order of ignition actuation of the plurality of ignition parts 15 so as to successively perform ignition from a part of low fuel concentration in the gaseous mixture to a part of high fuel concentration.
