PURPOSE: To provide a multispindle unit wherein a plurality of spindle units are parallelly arranged, and these spindle units are constituted to be shift-slidably selectively to a desired processing position by a lever operation, thereby to meet rapidly frequent tooling change.

CONSTITUTION: Each of multispindle units 5 in a linear transfer machine, for example, comprises a feed unit 1 comprising a fixed base and a cam box 3 encasing therein a cam feed mechanism, a slide base 4 disposed on the unit 1 in a longitudinally movable manner, and a unit 5 placed on the base 4. In the unit 5, a pair of drilling units 6a and 6b are fixed and arranged in parallel on a shift table 7. This table 7 is slidable in a direction perpendicularly crossing the shifting direction of the base 4, and a support frame 19 has an operating lever 20. Thus, this unit can rapidly meet the frequent tooling change.
