Title:
MULTISTATION ELECTRICAL DISCHARGE MACHINING USING SINGLE VELOCITY COMMAND
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004098283
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To provide an electric discharge machining for a work such as an aircraft engine part with some machined characteristic shapes.
An electrical discharge machining (EDM) device (10) comprises a plurality of machining heads (22-32), at least one EDM control system (76, 78) and a plurality of programmable servo drive devices (84, 86). Each of the programmable servo drive devices (84, 86) is connected with each one of the EDM control systems (76, 78) and a plurality of the machining heads (22-32) respectively. The programmable servo drive devices (84, 86) receive velocity commands from the EDM control systems (76, 78) and provide control signals controlling positioning of electrodes to each of a plurality of the machining heads (22-32).
