PURPOSE: To facilitate and speed up and an easy-to-understand reduction display of information in windows, operation of each constituent element, etc., by regarding window display contents in a bit map memory as an image by an image plane processing means which is connected to the bit map memory.
CONSTITUTION: The image plane processing means 13 which operates while regarding the window display contents in the bit map memory 2 as the image is connected between the bit map memory 2 and graphic controller 11. Then the image plane processing means 13 operates while handling the window display contents in the bit map memory 2 as the image. Consequently, the operation when data are displayed in reduced windows and when main segments are extracted by image processing and displayed is easily performed at a high speed.
