The musical instrument playing robot, which plays the musical instrument by performance motion, includes: a sound information input section 31 for inputting performance sound of the musical instrument which is played by the performance motion; a determination section for determining the pitch shift by comparing a pitch of performance sound which is input to the sound information input section 31 with a reference sound; and a correction section for correcting the performance motion based on the pitch shift determined by the determination section.
