PURPOSE: To generate a pulse having a correct phase even at the time of switching due to trouble/extraction of a package concerning a mutual reset system for redundant system.
CONSTITUTION: A redundant system is provided with first and second packages 300 and 320, on which first and second frequency dividing circuits 200 and 220 are mounted respectively, and lets one of these packages be the operating package. In the mutual reset system for the redundant system where reset signals are mutually outputted between first and second frequency dividing circuits for the purpose of arranging the phases of their output signals and only the reset signal from the operating side is validated, first and second packages are provided with period monitor means 900 which monitor the periods of reset signals from the other party and stop the input of reset signals from the other party in the case of an abnormal period, and thus, signals having correct phases are outputted from first and second frequency dividing circuits 200 and 220 even at the time of switching from the operating side to the stand-by side.
