PURPOSE: To provide a new N-(3-phenyl-2-methylpropyl and -methylprop-2-enyl) azaheterocuyclic compound having an excellent antimicrobial effect against various plant pasthogenic eumycetes, particularly ascomycetes and basidiomycetes.
CONSTITUTION: This is N-(3-Phenyl-2-methylpropyl and-methyl prop-2-enyl)- azaheterocyclic compound of formula [a dotted line is bondable additional bond; R1 is t-butoxy, formula II (R2 is H, 1-4C alkyl); Het is 5-7 membered azahetero-aliphatic ring (N atom thereof is bonded with the remained molecular part of formula I, the ring is optionally-substituted with alkyl or the like and includes O and S adjacent to its N)], its botanically acceptable acid addition salt or its quaternary salt, e.g. 4-[3-4-t-butoxyphenyl)-2-methylpropyl]-cis-2,6- dimethylmorpholine. The compound of formula I is prepared by coatalystically reducing aldehyde of formula II with hydrogen in the presence of azaheterocycle H-Het.
