Abstract:
A Process for the conversion of N2O to NO by heating a gas stream containing N2O by contact with a heated heat exchange surface to a temperature of about 400 DEG to 700 degrees C., and then heating the gas to a temperature of about 850 degrees C. while the gas is not in contact with a heated heat exchange surface, and spontaneously and decomposing the N2O and recovering NO.
