Abstract:
To provide a novel NOx adsorber catalyst improved in low-temperature NOx storage properties, NOx release properties, and desulfation properties.SOLUTION: A NOx adsorber catalyst for treating emissions from a lean burn engine includes a first layer including a composition including: a support material; one or more platinum group metals disposed on the support material; and a NOx storage material. The support material includes alumina or a mixed oxide containing alumina. The one or more platinum group metals include a mixture or alloy of platinum and palladium. The NOx storage material includes ceria. The support material or the NOx storage material includes a neodymium-containing component.SELECTED DRAWING: None
