Title:
HIGHLY HEAT RESISTANT FIBER-MADE CUSHIONING MATERIAL AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0734367
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the cushioning material excellent in heat resistance, load resistance and durability and capable of being used on the annealing of aluminum rolled products by subjecting the blended blanket of ceramic fibers with aramide fibers to a needle-punching treatment and subsequently to a thermal pressing treatment.

CONSTITUTION: This method for producing the highly heat-resistant cushioning material comprises blending aramide fibers with preliminarily shot fiber-removed bulky ceramic fibers in a weight ratio of 80:20 with a blending machine, forming the blended fibers into a blanket-like product on a belt conveyor, laminating the desired number of the blankets, subjecting the lamination product to a needle-punching treatment, and subsequently pressing the punched lamination product at a temperature above the glass transition point of the aramide fibers to form into a felt.
