Abstract:
PURPOSE: To combine existing apparatus with low resolution to realize a high resolution apparatus by reducing distortions caused by division, processing and compositing of video data. CONSTITUTION: Single frame video data is divided into four streams, and they are outputted from a data divider 20 in order. These non-realtime multiplexed data streams are recorded in a high definition digital video tape recorder 22. Thereafter, they are sent to a data compositer 28 through a production processing unit 24 and another HD-DVTR 26, and divided data streams are combined into one output data stream. Further, it is sent to a 70 mm film projector 32, through a super-high resolution(SHR) film transfer unit 30 or is directed to an SHR video channel 34. Or the composited output data stream is divided again into a video-down converter 36 by panning, scanning, and zooming and is displayed through a standard high definition channel 38.
