PURPOSE: To make clear the conditions of a surface oxidized film influencing on the surface roughening of a roll and the luster of the product in the case of skinpass rolling at the time of producing the BA product of an austenitic stainless steel strip, to obtain the surface conditions of the cold rolled sheet for securing the surface having ≥750 luster degree and provide a producing method for obtaining the same conditions.
CONSTITUTION: This austenitic stainless steel strip is the one having an oxidized film contg. ≥1.0 atomic % P and having ≥30 thickness on the surface layer of a cold rolled and annealed sheet. For this purpose, the content of P in the matrix is regulated to ≥0.005wt.%, and heat treatment is executed in a reducing atmosphere gas whose dew point is regulated to -35 to -60°C in such a manner that the retaining time at 1050-1200°C is regulated to 5-100sec. Moreover, in skinpass rolling after the annealing, it is executed by using a work roll having ≥100mm diameter in a nonlubricating state at ≤2.0% elongation percentage per pass.
