PURPOSE: To observe both overall and fine images of a specimen that is fixed on a microscope.

CONSTITUTION: An image transmitter side station A and an image receiver side station B are connected to each other via the fiber cables C and D. An overall image pickup camera 15 and a fine image pickup camera 13 are switched to each other at the station B by the operation of a switch button of an input means 55 while a specimen is fixed on an auto-stage 12 attached to a microscope 11. At the same time, a scanning stage 12 moved to a position where the specimen can be photographed by the switched camera. The input is selected by a switching device 17 for the information on the image photographed by the camera. Then the image information is displayed on an image monitor 52 of the station B via a fiber cable C.
