Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent an outer glass tube internal surface from blackening due to sticking of an evaporated object from ceramic frit for sealing a conductor to an arc tube end part.
CONSTITUTION: In both end parts, a conductor 3 having an electrode 2 in the point end part is sealed with ceramic frit 4, and further an arc tube 1, sealed with sodium, mercury and rare gas in the inside, is provided in an outer tube 10. A shield plate 6 is fitted to be inserted to the conductor 3 led out to the outside from the arc tube 1, and the ceramic frit 4 exposed in an end face of the arc tube 1 is covered with the shield plate 6.
