Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method for producing a white acicular zinc oxide having a sufficient conductivity.

CONSTITUTION: A zinc oxide slurry kept at pH 10-13 comprising an acicular zinc oxide, at least one kind salt of a metal selected from the group of Al, Ga, In and Sn and an alkali metal hydroxide aq. soln. is adjusted to pH 5-9 under stirring and matured, and afterwards, zinc oxide in the slurry is filtered, washed, dried and additionally calcined at 500-700°C under a reducing atmosphere.
