CONSTITUTION: A first partition chamber 4 is formed adjancent to an electrode chamber 7 in a separation tank 1, and a passage for a liq. to be be treated is provided above a partition plate 15 for separating the first partition chamber 4 and the electrode chamber 7. A second partition chamber 5 is formed adjacent to the first partition chamber 4, and a filtration tank 2 is connected to the chambers 4 and 5 through a pipeline. An electrode 23 and a filter 24 are furnished in the filtration tank 2, and a power source is connected to impress a voltage on the electrode 23 and to apply an electric field on the liq. in the tank. The liq. in the first partition chamber 4 is passed through the filtration tank 2 and then returned to the second section 5.
