PURPOSE: To automatically turn over fruits on the way of carrying, and to facilitate a visual inspection for its quality by supporting a middle part of the carrying side (upper face) of a stepped belt by a wheel placed in higher position than belt wheels at both ends, and running the stepped along a mountain shaped path.

CONSTITUTION: A stepped belt 10 provided with stepped parts 11 at prescribed intervals is wound round between a pair of belt wheels 13, 14, and also, a middle part of the carrying side (upper face) of the stepped belt 10 is supported by an other belt wheel 15 placed at a higher position than belt wheels 13, 14 at both ends. In such a way, the stepped belt 10 is run along a mountain shaped path. In such a state, when fruits such as mini-tomatoes, etc., are supplied successively one by one between the stepped parts 11, from a hopper 17 and carried, after they pass through the highest part of the stepped belt 10, they are turned over vertically by allowing the fruits to roll toward the lower side in the carrying direction. According to this constitution, the quality of the whole surface of fruits can be discriminated easily and surely visually. The selected fruits are contained in a fruits receiving stand 8.
