Abstract:
PURPOSE: To assign the residual band of a high-quality VC to a low-quality VC by measuring traffic of actual cells to recognize the band volume required for the high-quality VC.
CONSTITUTION: It is finally discriminated whether acceptance is permitted or not by a call acceptance discriminating device 53 based on discrimination results of a declared base call acceptance controller 51 which discriminates acceptance based on a declared value and a measured base call acceptance controller 52 which discriminates acceptance based on traffic measurement in the cell level. Bands to be assigned to VCs belonging to a high-quality class are determined by declaration, and bands left unassigned to VCs of the high-quality class are determined as bands to be assigned to VCs belonging to a low-quality class by declaration and measurement of traffic related to cells of VCs belonging to the same VPs as these VCs.
