Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the video data converting processor which can generate a television signal with superior display performance from video data in various development format through single hardware.
CONSTITUTION: An issuing means 8 issues an indication for setting video data out to a VRAM corresponding to a period prescribed by the ratio of the numbers of lines of the video data to be converted and a television signal and plural buffer means 3 cyclically latch the video data from the VRAM, line by line. A generating means 4 multiplies the video data, latched by the buffer means 3, by an interpolation coefficient indicating the development format of the video data in synchronism with the horizontal synchronizing signal of the television signal and adds their multiplication values to generate a television signal.
