Title:
FIREPROOF STRUCTURE IN BASE-ISOLATED STRUCTURAL PART
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3079363
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fireproof structure for use in a base-isolated structural part, that can enhance fireproof performance using a simple structure without damaging base isolating functions; allow easy inspection work at a place where a base isolating device is installed; has good appearance; is applicable also to base-isolation slits provided in a wall, so that fireproof performance can be enhanced easily; and is applicable even to existing buildings.
SOLUTION: A base-isolated structural part is formed by installing a base isolating device 3 between structural elements such as vertically divided columns 1a, 1b or between each structural element and a foundation. In that case, a plurality of plate-shaped bodies 2 that use a incombustible or quasi-incombustible material are mounted from the columns 1a, 1b, i.e., upper and lower structural elements, and from the foundation in such a way as to surround the base isolating device 3, so that base-isolation slits 4 are formed between the vertical plate- shaped bodies 2 and also between the right and left adjacent plate-shaped bodies 2; gaskets 9 with fireproof performance are inserted into the slits.
