Abstract:
PURPOSE: To secure excellent functional responsibility in both the processes of valve closing and of valve opening by moving a roll over valve installed in the fuel tank of an automobile from the inside of the fuel tank outward in a passage to open the passage, and moving the above valve from the outside of the fuel tank inward to block the passage.
CONSTITUTION: A housing 2 having a passage 7 which is attached inside a hole provided drilledly in the wall face of a fuel tank for communicating the inside and outside of the fuel tank is provided, and a valve 9 which moves from the outside of the fuel tank inward inside a passage 7 to block the passage 7 and moves from the inside of the fuel tank outward to open the passage 7 is provided in the housing 2. A float 10 whose end can plunge into the fuel when the fuel tank is filled up or inclined is connected to the valve 9, and energized in a direction where the valve 9 blocks the passage 7 by an energizing member 11. The float 10 is formed in the shape of a cylinder having a blocked upper end, and a thick weight part 10a is unitedly formed extending over the whole periphery of a lower end opened part.
