PURPOSE: To carry out manual work for an article to be carried at an optimum level by installing a lifting device which lifts a supporting device in a certain passage for a change in the level of the article to be carried to the upper surface of a movable body.

CONSTITUTION: A feeder 11 which gives movement force to a movable body 1 is installed on the upper side of a certain passage 5, and a braking device 13 which gives braking force to the movable body 1 is installed on the lower side. Besides, a supporting device 20 for article to be carried is liftably-installed in the movable body 1 through a lifting element, and a locking device which can fix the lifting position of the supporting device 20 is installed in the movable body 1, and a lifting device 50 which works on the lifting element to lift the supporting device 20 is disposed in the certain passage 5. Therefore, when the movable body 1 reaches a prescribed position, the lifting device 50 is operated to lift the supporting device 20 and raise the level of an article 19 to be carried according to manual work, thus it is possible for a worker to carry out work easily and safely without his taking a difficult posture.
