PURPOSE: To provide a driving device such that a toy automobile can round a curve with a small radius, and straight running and turning can be surely changed over.

CONSTITUTION: When a motor 11 is rotated normally, a left drive wheel 8 is turned normally by a drive gear 15 through a large gear 16, left small gear 17, and left driven gear 19, and a right drive wheel 9 is turned normally through a right small gear 18, pivoting gear 22 intermediate gear 24, and right driven gear 23, so that a toy automobile runs straight. If the motor 11 is changed over to reverse rotation, the wheel 8 rotates reversely and at the same time the gear 22 comes into direct engagement with the gear 23 and the wheel 9 rotates reversely so that the automobile rounds a curve with a small radius. Since the gear 22 is rotatably mounted to a changeover arm 21 which pivots on the gear axis 20 of the gear 16, the gear 22 is moved by normal or reverse rotation of the gear 18 so as to be engaged with either one of the gears 24 or 23.
