Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a chair which has an extremely simple structure, has reliability, and surely operates comfortably without any trouble. CONSTITUTION: A chair is provided with a front seat support member 6 supported by and coupled with a chair support 4 projected upward from a leg 2 and a rear seat support member 7 coupled with the front seat support member 6 via a shaft rotation mandrel 8 and a seat 10 is rotationally supported by these seat support members 6, 7. In a chair having a backrest 15 fixed to the rear seat support member 7, a stop mechanism 61 is articulatedly coupled with the rear seat support member 7 apart from the shaft rotation mandrel 8 by a shaft rotation joint and provided with a stop lever 62 having a stop surface 64, and the stop surface 64 can be rotated about the shaft in such a state as being engaged with the stop surface 65 fixed to the front seat support member 6 via a bearing. This constitution allows a stop actuator arm 67 to release them from this bearing engagement.
