Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase the withstand voltage of the flair surface of a stem for a cathode ray tube.
CONSTITUTION: A groove 12 of 0.3 to 0.5mm deep is provided between adjacent stem pins 8 along the flair surface 13 located on the atmosphere side of a stem 1 for a cathode ray tube, thereby increasing the effective creepage distance thereof, so that a withstand voltage is increased. The groove 12 has the width of 0.3 to 1.0mm and the desired number of grooves 12 are formed in the shape of a stripe.
