Abstract:
PURPOSE: To secure the steam lock effect at the final stage of a screw shaft where the crushing of raw material and the generation of steam are most vigorously proceeded, to promote the efficient and active heat-treatment and to remarkably improve the treating performance.
CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for the production of feed or fertilizer has a nose cone 14, a conical nose pallet 19 positioned at the outlet end of a screw shaft 12 and fitted into a conical hole 18 formed at the inlet end of the ejection path 17 and a conical path 26 connected to the ejection path 17. The feed or fertilizer extruded by the screw shaft 12 is passed through the conical path 26 and introduced into the ejection path 17. In the above construction, a circular steam-lock disk 22 is placed between the conical nose pallet 19 and the screw shaft 12 and the steam lock disk 22 is bolted to the end face of the screw shaft 12 and integrated with the nose pallet 19.
