Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an automatic air vent valve of a reciprocating pump.

CONSTITUTION: As for an automatic air vent valve 9 arranged between the drain chamber 2 and the excessive water port 5 of a reciprocating pump, an inlet 12 opened to the drain chamber 2 and a valve seat 13 are installed at both the edges in the lateral direction of a valve chamber 11 formed on a valve body 10 arranged in the nearly horizontal direction, and a ball valve body 14 is arranged in shiftable manner in the valve chamber 11, and the passage 15 of the valve seat 13 communicates to the excessive water port 5.
