Abstract:

PURPOSE: To simplify inner face diagnosis work significantly by obviating the necessity of premarking on piping when a probe is scanned manually thereby allowing specification of measuring point for the probe.

CONSTITUTION: A pair of rails 14, 14a are wound around piping 12. Casings 16, 16a are fixed movably to the rails 14, 14a. A bridge member 18 is fixed astride the casings 16, 16a. A pair of pulleys 20, 20a are pivoted to the both opposite ends of the bridge member 18. A belt member 22 is entrained about the pulleys 20, 20a. A probe 24 is fixed movably to the bridge member 18 and secured to the belt member 18. Means 26 for detecting axial moving distance of the probe 24 is provided at one end of the bridge member 18. A peripheral moving amount regulating means 28, which can stop after every microdistance movement, is mounted on the casing 16.
