PURPOSE: To realize stable image quality by preventing toner from dropping in the developing device of an electrophotographic copying device using two- component developer consisting of magnetic carrier and insulating toner.
CONSTITUTION: A clearance is properly provided along the outside circumference of the paddle for stirring 2 at 45° obliquely from the upper part of the paddle 2 in a developing device main body 1 and a member for scattering toner is installed in the longitudinal direction of the paddle 2. Besides, a developer regulation member is installed along the outside circumference of a developing sleeve 5 on the developer recovering side of the sleeve 5 and in the longitudinal direction of the sleeve 5 and a gap is provided so that the developer slightly rubs the surface of the member. Thus, the electrophotographic copying device and the developing device do not receive the effect of disturbance (impact, vibration or the like) on the inside and the outside of the devices and the dropping of the toner is eliminated. As the result, the stable image quality is realized.
