CONSTITUTION: The shift speeds Vi of primary and secondary pulleys 26 and 28 are controlled. Weight grade resistance Rw based on drive information of a vehicle, a throttle operation mode based on the throttle operation mode D. Th of a throttle valve and the rotation change speed D. Np of the primary pulley, and a control gain correction amount CG responding to the throttle operation mode and the weight grade resistance Rw are determined. Further, the target number Npo of revolutions of primary pulley, the deviation number E1 of revolutions being a deviation between the target number Npo of revolutions of primary pulley and the actual number Np of revolutions of primary pulley, a correction control gain GC obtained by multiplying a fundamental control gain responding to the deviation number of revolutions and the control gain correction amount CG, a shift speed Vi based on the deviation number E1 of revolutions and the control gain correction amount CG, and a shift control oil pressure Pc equivalent to a shift speed are calculated, in the order, by means of a CVTECU being a control means, and the CVTECU is operated to control a hydraulic actuator.
