PURPOSE: To provide a delivery charge arithmetic unit for giving a delivery charge in such a way that the weight of an article and the size thereof in three directions are obtained, and the charge is calculated from the size and weight so obtained, and the type and destination of the article.

CONSTITUTION: This device is equipped with a weighing section 3 for measuring the weight of an article, a handy terminal 4 for measuring the three-directional sizes of width, depth and height of the article, and a keyboard 202 for entering the type and destination of the article. Furthermore, the device is equipped with a size judgement means for finding an article size on the basis of the three-directional sizes measured with the section 3 and the terminal 4, an arithmetic section for computing a delivery charge from the type, destination and size of the article entered from the keyboard 202, and a display 202 for showing the delivery charge.
