Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a fuel cell in which sufficient current density can be extracted even by an indirect humidification method at normal pressure, and electrode characteristics can be utilized to the full. CONSTITUTION: The film thickness of a solid polymer diaphragm is set to be 5 to 70μm in a high molecular solid electrolyte fuel cell. The maximum limit current density is obtained in this range, a wet state in which no deterioration of electrode characteristics can be maintained even by indirect humidification. The diaphragm is made of high molecules, and by volatilizing the solvent of solid polymer dispersion solution, thin film thickness can easily be formed.
