Title:
INFRARED-RAY DETECTING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0572028
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain an infrared-ray detecting apparatus which does not require preliminary excitation and has practical sensitivity for infrared ray in a wavelength of 1.55mum band. CONSTITUTION:An infrared-ray detecting apparatus is constituted of phosphor wherein at least two kinds of elements of erbium and ytterbium or compounds thereof are contained in the host body of the phosphor, and light emitting element, which emits the light containing the spectrum component of a wavelength of 0.98mum. The compound of the erbium is erbium oxide, and the weight ratio is 3-20 with respect to the host body of the phosphor. The host body of the phosphor contains at least two kinds of compounds, lead fluoride and germanium dioxide. In this apparatus, light containing a spectrum component of a wavelength 0.98mum in addition to the infrared ray in a wavelength of 1.55mum band can be applied at the same time.
