Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prepare the subject compsn. excellent in flowability, storage stability, heat resistance, flexing properties, and adhesive properties by compounding an acrylic copolymer latex with a water-sol. acrylic resin.
CONSTITUTION: This compsn. mainly comprises 10-95 pts.wt. (solid content) acrylic copolymer latex and 90-5 pts.wt. (solid content) water-sol. acrylic resin. The latex is prepd. by emulsion-copolymerizing 100 pts.wt. monomer mixture comprising 1-40wt.% ethylenically unsatd. carboxylic acid and/or hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate, 20-70wt.% alkyl (meth)acrylate, and other copolymerzable monomers in the presence of 1-100 pts.wt. (solid content) water-base dispersion prepd. by emulsion-copolymerizing 5-80wt.% ethylenically unsatd. carboxylic acid and other copolymerizable monomers. The objective water-sol. resin is prepd. by copolymerizing 5-60wt.% ethylenically unsatd. carboxylic acid and other copolymerizable monomers.
