PURPOSE: To provide a small-sized simple and inexpensive wet washing, filtering and backwashing continuous scrubber treating the exhaust gas from a boiler or an incinerator or removing a malodor, reduced in operation cost, having high desulfurizing efficiency and not generating the secondary environmental pollution of waste water.

CONSTITUTION: The gas scrubber 7 consisting of a front filter 10 composed of a multiple stainless steel fine mesh net or a polypropylene mesh material or packed with ceramic balls, jet nozzles 11 injecting water to an exhaust gas suction port 8, an intermediate gas-liquid separator 12 and a rear flue 13 is provided to the exhaust gas discharge port 5 of a fan scrubber 1 spraying water of a circulating water tank 14 from nozzles 6 through a ceramic filter 16. Further, drain pipes 18, 19, 20 returning sprayed water, injected water and gas-liquid separation water to the circulating water tank are provided and a raw soln. to be filtered is sent to the coating filter 25 connected to the circulating water tank and filtered water is returned through a pH-adjusting treatment water tank 34.
