PURPOSE: To obtain a lighting apparatus which can make the light radiated from a light source into parallel beams with no waste, and can utilize them as the lighting beams effectively.

CONSTITUTION: A reflector 1 which has a reflecting surface of a rotary paraboloid makes a defused light from a haloid lamp 3 into parallel beams LP. A light distribution control unit 20 which consists of a hologram is provided at the opening of the reflector 1, and the direct light not reflected from the haloid lamp 3 is made into parallel beams L2 and output. Both parallel beams are passed through a red filter 5 neighboring the outside, and deflected to the rear side of the vehicle by a deflection plate 6 which consists of a hologram, being made into a high mount stop lamp. Since the light from the haloid lamp 3 is all made into parallel light beams in the same direction, the light is diffracted securely without passing through the deflection plate 6, and utilized with no waste. And the deflection plate 6 is displayed in a very bright red color with no unevenness.
