Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable operation for plural wavelengths, to reduce the cost and power consumption, and to decrease the volume. CONSTITUTION:This waveguide type optical switch is equipped with plural optical waveguide units 21-23 which differ in operation wavelength so as to handle plural wavelengths. Those optical waveguide units 21-23 are connected to the output terminal of one driving circuit 20 in parallel and all optical waveguide elements can be driven with the same voltage at the same time.
