Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a diverter for diverting successive sheets from an entrance path in one of two different directions.

CONSTITUTION: This assembly is provided with a driven diverter roller 14 having a plurality of spaced gripping sections for adding pressurizing force to the sheets and making them pass through the diverter. A pair of primary idler rollers 46 and 48 are provided and the respective idler rollers are in direct contact with the driven diverter roller 44 so as to rotate the idler rollers 46 and 48 in the opposite direction of the direction of rotating the diverter roller 44. It is preferable to be provided with the second pair of the idler rollers 50 and 52, the idler rollers are in direct contact with the main idler rollers 46 and 48 and a moving support guide body for assisting in controlling the path of the sheets passing through the diverter is provided.
