PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition having excellent foam removal during rinsing, capable of suppressing reduction in foam removing properties with time, showing excellent rinsing properties, comprising a surfactant, a specific compound and a polyethylene glycol having a specific molecular weight.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition comprises (A) 10-40wt.% of a surfactant, (B) 1-20wt.% of a compound of formula I [X is OH or H; R1 is CH2COOM or group of formula II (Y is H or COOM); M is H, Na, K or NH4] (e.g. tetrasodium 3-hydroxy-2,2'-iminodisuccinate) and (C) 0.5-5wt.% of a polyethylene glycol having 5,000-20,000 average molecular weight and has 0.6-1g/cc bulk density. A surfactant wherein ≥2/3 the surfactant is an anionic surfactant of sulfonate type and/or sulfonic ester salt type is preferable as the component A. The component B is obtained by dissolving aspartic acid and sodium epoxysuccinate in NaOH and water and reacting under reflux.
