CONSTITUTION: In a housing for a connector in which a connector 8 provided with a tongue-like piece 6 is freely detachably installed on a connector insertion hole 36, grooves 38 are formed for the tongue member 6 to be seated when the connector 8 is installed on the connector insertion hole 36 to release resiliency of the tongue-like piece 6, and protrusions 40 are provided on the inner circumferential side of an end surface of the grooves 38 on this side in the connector fitting direction.
