Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0581902
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a remote micro-projector type headlamp device improved for automobile use while implementing a pattern required for road irradiation by utilizing a minimum number of components in a minimum number of places.

CONSTITUTION: This remote headlamp device includes a single light source operable in conjunction with a reflector device composed in a form so as to generate at least two light spots from the single light source 10. The two light spots are picked up by separate input ends of light transmissive elements such as optical fibers 12, 14, 16, 18 or light guides. The output ends of the light transmissive devices are directed to both sides of an automobile. One side is imaged by lenses 24, 26, 28, 30 or mirror elements to produce a spread pattern of a standard road illumination pattern, and the other side is imaged by another lens or mirror element to form a narrow, focused part of the road illumination pattern.
