PURPOSE: To provide a maintenace device for an elevator capable of easy and quick restoration when generated abnormality in operation of an inverter or the like.
CONSTITUTION: A device comprises a current detector 11 for detecting a current flowing in self arc-extinguishing elements 4a to 4f of an inverter 4, comparing decision means for comparing a current detection value obtained by this current detector 11 with a predetermined current reference value decided for whether abnormal or not, memory means for storing the abnormal self arc-extinguishing element and its current detecion value in the case of deciding abnormality by this comparing decision means, deciding power supply 12 different from a driving power supply and a switching circuit 13 for respectively switching the self arc-extinguishing elements 4a to 4f successively connected to this deciding power supply 12. Respective action of the self arc-extinguishing elements 4a to 4f is inspected, to store the abnormal self arc-extinguishing element and its current detection value in the memory means.
